Phil Jones has lavished praise on Marcus Rashford following his strong start to the season with Manchester United.

The 19-year-old has earned plenty of praise for his performances for the Red Devils since breaking into the first team at Old Trafford under Louis van Gaal.

Rashford has scored one goal and made one assist in the Premier League for Jose Mourinho’s men so far to help them top the table after three games.

The teenager has earned a reputation as one of the country’s finest young attacking talents since he broke into the team at Old Trafford.

And Red Devils defender Jones has explained why he is such a big admirer of the young striker.

Jones told Manchester United’s website: “He’s a great lad off the pitch and, on it, he’s a special talent.

“He’s already special but he’ll be a world-beater one day, he’s that good.

“He’s so quick, sharp, technically gifted, two-footed and a nightmare for defenders.

“You’ve seen it this season already, he’s given defenders nightmares.

“He’s an Academy product and players from the youth system have done great over the last few years. He’s a special player and we’re lucky to have him.”

Both Rashford and Jones will be expecting to feature for Manchester United when the Red Devils take on Stoke City in the Premier League at the bet365 Stadium on Saturday.
