Nemanja Matic talks up the potential of both Angel Gomes and Tahith Chong at Manchester United

Nemanja Matic has admitted that he has been very impressed by the performances of both Angel Gomes and Tahith Chong in Manchester United training.
The Serbian midfielder has been getting used to life at Old Trafford after signing for the Red Devils from Premier League rivals Chelsea FC in the summer transfer window.
Matic helped Manchester United claim a 2-1 victory over his former club at Old Trafford on Sunday as Jose Mourinho’s men moved back up into second place in the Premier League table.
Gomes is one of Manchester United’s most highly rated youngsters and he made his Premier League debut for the senior first team at Old Trafford last season.
Chong, meanwhile, is yet to feature for Mourinho’s first team but has been earning praise for his performances at Under-23 level for the Red Devils.
And midfielder Matic believes that both of the youngsters are on course to enjoy successful careers at Old Trafford.
Speaking to United Review, as quoted by the Manchester Evening News, Matic said: “They are good players. They’re still very young but they show every time they train with us that Manchester United has a good future.
“I remember when I was young how important it was to train with the best players and I hope they will continue like this.”
Meanwhile, Matic will be expecting to start for Manchester United when the Red Devils return to Premier League action on Monday night with a trip to Crystal Palace.
The Red Devils are aiming to at least finish in the top four this season after their sixth-placed finish last term.
