Man United warned about ‘big blow’ ahead of Liverpool FC clash
Mikael Silvestre warns Manchester United that missing Paul Pogba will be a big blow against Liverpool FC

Mikael Silvestre has warned Manchester United that losing Paul Pogba to injury is a “big blow” for the Red Devils ahead of their clash with Liverpool on Saturday.
Pogba is not expected to be fit for the trip to Anfield on Saturday after he sustained a hamstring injury last month in the Champions League victory over Basel at Old Trafford.
News of Pogba’s injury came as a big setback for the Red Devils, because it seemed as if the French midfielder was finally starting to find his best form for Manchester United.
And speaking to 888sport ahead of Manchester United’s clash with Liverpool, Silvestre admitted that Pogba’s absence is a significant setback.
Former Manchester United defender Silvestre said: “It’s a big blow. On the back of a decent season last year there was so much expectation for Paul to have a full, strong season.
“It will have an effect on the squad and results because he’s the best number eight at the club.”
Pogba has been stepping up his recovery from injury in recent days.
Manchester United are aiming to continue their fine start to the new season against Liverpool on Saturday.
The Red Devils have won six of their opening seven Premier League games to leave them second in the table and level on points with leaders Manchester City.
Jose Mourinho is aiming to become the first manager to steer Manchester United to the Premier League title since Sir Alex Ferguson’s final campaign in charge of the Red Devils back in the 2012-13 season.
