‘Special’ Man United star tipped to shine at the World Cup
Bacary Sagna is backing Paul Pogba to enjoy a solid World Cup campaign with France in Russia

Bacary Sagna is backing Paul Pogba to shine at the World Cup for France.
The midfielder has found himself to be under some pressure to produce consistent performances lately after struggling to perform for Manchester United in parts of last season.
The France international had started the campaign strongly, but his form tailed off towards the second part of the season as he was criticised for not producing consistent performances.
Pogba will be hoping to help France enjoy a successful World Cup when the tournament gets under way in Russia this week.
And former Arsenal right-back Sagna believes that Pogba will end up being an important player for the French side.
Speaking to Sky Sports News, Sagna said: “Paul is a special character and he’s very important for the team.
“He had a so-so season with Manchester United because he got a lot of criticism because when you cost £100m people expect you to score many goals, people expect you to make a lot more.
“People have to remember he is only a holding midfield player and he has orders from the manager and to me a holding midfield player is there to protect the team and to defend first.
“That’s what he’s been doing, but I’m looking forward to seeing him shining and he’s going to shine.”
Pogba will be hoping to help Manchester United enjoy a strong campaign next season after the Red Devils finished second and without a trophy last term.
The Red Devils will be looking to challenge for the title, with Manchester United not having lifted the top flight trophy since their final triumph under Sir Alex Ferguson back in 2013.
Manchester United won both the League Cup and Europa League in Jose Mourinho’s first season at the club.
