Rio Ferdinand sends message to Paulo Dybala after Man United reports
Rio Ferdinand has his say after Paulo Dybala ended up not joining Man United this summer

Rio Ferdinand has insisted that he is “happy” that Paulo Dybala did not end up signing for Manchester United this summer.
The Argentina international was touted as a possible target for the Red Devils during the summer transfer window but a move failed to materialise as he ended up staying at Juventus.
Manchester United ended up only making three new signings in the summer transfer window after having tied up deals for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Daniel James and Harry Maguire.
Dybala is widely regarded as one of European football’s most talented attackers, but Ferdinand has now insisted that he is not disappointed that the 25-year-old didn’t sign for the Red Devils.
Speaking in an interview quoted by Metro, Ferdinand said: “A lot of players have declined coming to Manchester United in recent years. They’ve chosen somewhere else.
“But I don’t know how Dybala had the audacity to turn them down when he’s on the bench at Juventus. He needs to start playing some football.
“Maybe he’s thinking: ‘I want to be Champions League or I’ll sit on the bench. I’d rather do that than play at United’.
“Well, I’m happy he didn’t come then because you haven’t got the right minerals that I want in a Manchester United player!
“I want someone who wants to come and thinks: ‘United need to get back to being a top team, I want to be the catalyst’. That’s the type of person you want to come through the door.”
Manchester United – who have not won the title since 2013 – will return to Premier League action on Monday night when they travel to Wolves.
The Red Devils got their top-flight campaign off to the perfect start on Sunday when they claimed a thumping 4-0 win over Chelsea FC at Old Trafford.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be aiming to guide his side to Champions League qualification this season after they finished sixth and without a trophy last term under the Norwegian head coach.
