Paul Pogba has admitted that he was “gutted” to see Manchester United suffer a 1-0 defeat by Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday.

The French midfielder is currently out of action with an injury and was unable to help his team-mates as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men slumped to a disappointing loss at the Vitality Stadium.

Josh King scored the only goal of the game on the stroke of half-time as Solskjaer’s men struggled to click into gear and slumped to another defeat.

The result left Manchester United in 10th place in the Premier League table after 11 games of the new campaign under Solskjaer.

Pogba is currently working on his fitness levels behind the scenes as he looks to return to action for Manchester United as soon as possible.

And the World Cup winner has admitted that he was not happy to see the Red Devils slump to their fourth Premier League defeat of the season at the weekend.

Speaking to RMC Sport, as quoted by Metro, Pogba said: “I’m gutted.

“To see the team lose without being able to play is the worst. I would like to be back to help them but the most important thing is to heal.”

Manchester United will host Partizan Belgrade in the Europa League on Thursday night, before they switch their attentions back towards Premier League affairs and their home clash against Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday afternoon.
