Paul Pogba hints that he is not happy at Manchester United
Paul Pogba has claimed that he would be fined by Manchester United if he spoke his true feelings.
The France international’s situation at Old Trafford has been a constant source of speculation this summer after his lack of playing time and mixed performances for Manchester United last season.
Pogba was one of France’s top performing players as he helped his side to win the World Cup in Russia this summer with some brilliant performances.
However, his future at Manchester United has remained a source of uncertainty, and he has been linked with move to FC Barcelona in recent weeks.
Pogba captained Manchester United as he helped to inspire the Red Devils to a 2-1 win over Leicester City in the Premier League opener at Old Trafford on Friday night.
And Pogba has hinted that he is not totally happy about his situation at Old Trafford.
Speaking in an interview quoted by BBC Sport, Pogba said: “If you’re not happy, you cannot give your best.
“There are things I cannot say otherwise I will get fined.”
Asked about the differences between playing for France and playing for United, Pogba said: “I am the same, but it’s a different team, obviously.
“I still enjoying playing football but like I said, when you are comfortable or confident and are good in the head, it’s going to be easier.”
Manchester United will be aiming to challenge for the Premier League title next season after they finished in second place in the table and without a trophy last term.
The Red Devils have not won the title since their final triumph under Sir Alex Ferguson back in 2013.
