Rio Ferdinand: ‘Ridiculous’ Man United star is clearly the best in the world
Rio Ferdinand believes that Man United star David De Gea is clearly the best goalkeeper in the world on current form

Rio Ferdinand has lauded David De Gea as the best goalkeeper in the world following his sparkling display for Manchester United in the 3-1 victory over Arsenal last weekend.
The Spaniard has gradually established himself as one of the top talents between the posts in world football following his move to Old Trafford from Atletico Madrid back in 2011.
De Gea has been a regular fixture in the first team at Old Trafford this season and has played every minute of Manchester United’s Premier League campaign so far.
The 27-year-old is widely regarded as one of the world’s top shot-stoppers, but former Manchester United defender Ferdinand believes that the Spaniard is clearly the best around in current form.
Speaking to BT Sport after Manchester United’s 3-1 win over Arsenal last weekend, former defender Ferdinand said of De Gea: “He is the best in the world. I don’t care.
“How did he make some of the saves? It’s ridiculous. He is breathtaking at times.”
De Gea will be hoping to keep a clean sheet when Manchester United return to Premier League action on Sunday with a crunch clash against Manchester City at Old Trafford.
Jose Mourinho’s men are currently eight points behind the leaders as they look to try and close the gap to Pep Guardiola’s title favourites.
Manchester United are aiming to try and win the title this season after having ended up in sixth place in the table last term.
