Gary Pallister: What I really think about Man United signing
The Man United legend doesn't expect Alexis Sanchez to shrink under the pressure of wearing the number seven shirt

Gary Pallister doesn’t believe Alexis Sanchez will struggle with the burden of wearing Manchester United’s famous number seven shirt.
The Chile international moved to the Red Devils in a swap deal from bitter rivals Arsenal in the January transfer window.
Sanchez spent three and a half seasons at the north London club after the South American won two FA Cups under Arsene Wenger.
Manchester United handed Sanchez a contract reported to be worth £350,000 a week, as well as their prestigious number seven shirt.
The South American scored his first Manchester United goal in a 2-0 win over Huddersfield Town in the Premier League.
Sanchez has also contributed one assist in Manchester United’s 2-0 victory over Huddersfield in the FA Cup fourth round.
The Chile forward is following in the footsteps of Manchester United legends such as David Beckham and Cristiano Ronaldo in the number seven shirt.
Former Manchester United defender Pallister is confident that Sanchez will thrive at Old Trafford despite the pressure on his shoulders.
“I don’t think so at all. He’s got everything to be successful at the club,” Pallister told Sportingbet.
“I didn’t think it was possible to get him, so the fact we have is a coup. He’s a world-class player and I don’t think the number seven, or playing at Old Trafford, will have any impact on him. He’s got a fantastic attitude and he’s not phased by anything.
“Once he settles in and gets used to his teammates, he won’t have any problems.”
Manchester United were 3-2 winners against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park in the Premier League on Monday night.
The Red Devils will take on Liverpool FC at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
