Steve Bruce replies when asked if Man United are signing Sean Longstaff
Steve Bruce tells Man United to forget about signing Sean Longstaff from Newcastle this summer

Steve Bruce has told Manchester United to forget about signing Sean Longstaff from Newcastle United this summer.
The Red Devils have been heavily linked with a move to bring the 21-year-old to Old Trafford as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to strengthen his squad ahead of next season.
Nevertheless, there has been no official word from the club and Manchester United’s apparent interest in the midfielder remains as media speculation at this stage.
According to some reports, Manchester United are preparing a bid worth around £30m to try and bring Longstaff to Old Trafford this summer.
However, Magpies boss Bruce has now seemingly indicated that Newcastle United have no intention of letting Longstaff leave St James’ Park this summer.
Speaking in an interview quoted by The Sun, Bruce said: “We don’t want to sell our best young players, that’s for sure.
“So that won’t happen. I’m very confident of that.”
Longstaff scored one goal in nine Premier League appearances for Newcastle United last season.
Manchester United have completed two summer transfer deals so far after landing Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James – but they continue to be linked with a host of other names ahead of next month’s deadline.
The Red Devils will be aiming to break back into the Champions League qualification spots next season after they finished in sixth place and without a trophy last term.
