Chris Smalling warns Liverpool FC that Man United already have one eye on their crunch clash with the Reds

Chris Smalling has warned Liverpool FC that Manchester United already have one eye on their crunch clash with the Reds next month.
Manchester United bounced back to winning ways in the Premier League on Sunday when they claimed a 2-1 win over Chelsea FC at Old Trafford to keep them in second place in the table.
All eyes will now be on Manchester United’s home clash against Liverpool FC in the Premier League on Saturday 10 March, as Jose Mourinho’s men look to put some distance between themselves and the third-placed Reds.
Chelsea FC, meanwhile, dropped out of the top four and down into fifth place following their defeat by Mourinho’s men on Sunday afternoon.
Manchester United will be aiming to beat their bitter local rivals and open up a gap to them as the race for Champions League qualification hots up.
And Manchester United defender Smalling is clearly feeling in a confident mood ahead of the clash.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Smalling said: “I think obviously we’ve been second for quite a while and that needs to be our bare minimum.
“The fact we get to play Liverpool at home as well I think is a big advantage. If we can separate ourselves from Chelsea and Liverpool and work our way up then we can do that. But I think that’s our (goal) first and foremost.”
Meanwhile, Manchester United have the weekend off before their Premier League trip to Crystal Palace on Monday night.
The Red Devils finished in sixth place in the Premier League table under Mourinho last term.
