Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has insisted that Paul Pogba will not be sold to Real Madrid by Manchester United next year.

The 26-year-old’s future at Old Trafford was a constant source of speculation in the summer months as Real Madrid were heavily linked with a move to bring him to Spain.

However, despite all of the uncertainty, Pogba ended up staying at Manchester United as the Red Devils opted to keep hold of the World Cup winner.

There is likely to be a round of fresh speculation about Pogba’s future in the lead-up to the January transfer window and Real Madrid may once again be linked with a move to sign him.

But Solskjaer has now insisted that Manchester United have no intention of cashing in on Pogba next year.

Speaking in an interview quoted by The Sun, Solskjaer said: “I am not worried now and I will never be worried in the future about Paul Pogba staying here.

“If it all kicks off again with Madrid in January then there will be no worries then either.

“If we have to live with the speculation again then we will handle it like we did in the summer.

“Paul is going nowhere. He is happy here when he’s playing.”

Pogba has been a regular fixture in the Manchester United side so far this season as he bids to help the Red Devils break back into the top four this term.

Manchester United will return to Premier League action when they host Arsenal in the top flight on Monday 30 September at Old Trafford.
