Man United to sign 29-year-old in £60m deal – report
Man United are closing in on a deal to sign Toby Alderweireld from Tottenham Hotspur this summer, say reports

Manchester United are closing in on a deal to sign Toby Alderweireld from Tottenham Hotspur in a £60m deal, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that the Red Devils are poised to finally clinch the signing of the 29-year-old defender after having been heavily linked with a move to land him this summer.
Manchester United have been constantly linked with a move to Alderweireld this summer as Jose Mourinho looks to add to his squad before the close of the transfer window on Thursday.
According to the same story, there has now been a breakthrough in negotiations between the two clubs and Manchester United are confident that they will be able to complete a deal to sign the defender in the next 48 hours.
Alderweireld’s future at Tottenham has been a constant source of speculation this summer after he struggled to hold down a regular spot in the first team at Spurs last season under Mauricio Pochettino.
Meanwhile, Manchester United will be aiming to be one of the main contenders for the Premier League title next season after they finished in second place and without a trophy last term under Mourinho.
