Sky Sports reporter gives update on Man United interest in Tottenham star
Michael Bridge says Tottenham would be more interested in selling Toby Alderweireld to Man United if Anthony Martial was part of the deal

Manchester United are likely to struggle to sign Toby Alderweireld this summer unless they offer Anthony Martial to Tottenham as part of the deal, according to Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge.
The Red Devils have been strongly linked with a move to bring the Belgian defender to Old Trafford this summer as they look to try and build a squad capable of winning the title next season.
Manchester United have only signed Diogo Dalot, Fred and Lee Grant this summer as Jose Mourinho prepares for his third season in charge at Old Trafford.
The 29-year-old Belgian defender’s future at White Hart Lane has been a source of uncertainty this summer due to his lack of playing time under Mauricio Pochettino last term.
It is believed that Tottenham would be more open to selling the defender this summer if Manchester United were to offer Martial as part of the proposed deal.
And Sky Sports reporter Bridge has confirmed that Spurs are likely to be more interested in a deal should the French striker be involved.
Speaking on the Sky Sports Transfer Talk podcast, Bridge said: “Unless Martial comes into the equation it will be a real hard negotiation with Tottenham [for Alderweireld].”
Manchester United finished in second place in the Premier League title last season and without a trophy.
