Manchester United are closing in on the signing of Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan this summer, say reports
Manchester United are closing in on the signing of Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan, according to reports in Italy.
Sky Sport Italia is claiming that Inter Milan are braced for a new bid for the 28-year-old from the Premier League club as Jose Mourinho looks to bolster his attacking options at Old Trafford.
The same report states that Inter are stepping up their pursuit of Fiorentina’s Borja Valero, who could be seen as a replacement for Perisic.
Manchester United were linked with a move for Perisic earlier in the summer but it now appears that the Red Devils are ready to step up their interest in the player.
The Premier League club were thought to have been put off by Inter’s asking price but recent reports claimed that Perisic has instructed his agent to try and get him a move away from the San Siro.
The Red Devils have been linked with a host of players this summer but have so far only concluded a deal to land defender Victor Lindelof from Benfica.
Manchester United jet off to the United States for their pre-season tour on Sunday.
