Man United set to sign 28-year-old as second summer signing – report
Manchester United look set to sign Nemanja Matic this summer but he was Jose Mourinho's third midfield choice, say reports

Manchester United are set to make a move to sign Nemanja Matic from Chelsea – but the midfielder was Jose Mourinho’s third midfield choice this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Telegraph is reporting that Manchester United are only turning to Matic after being frustrated in their pursuit of top targets Eric Dier and Radja Nainggolan.
The same story claims that Mourinho has been “frustrated” by Manchester United’s failure to land their top targets so far in the summer transfer window.
The article also states that although Chelsea would prefer not to sell Matic to a direct Premier League rival, they are prepared to let the 28-year-old leave provided that they wrap up the signing of Tiemoue Bakayoko from Monaco.
It is also suggested that Matic would be in line to earn more than £150,000 a week at Old Trafford and that he would be pleased to link up with his former manager Mourinho again.
Should Matic sign for Manchester United this summer, he would become the Red Devils’ second signing of the summer following the capture of defender Victor Lindelof from Benfica.
