Jose Mourinho reacts to Victor Lindelof’s display for Man United at Huddersfield
Jose Mourinho refuses to blame Victor Lindelof after Manchester United's 2-1 loss to Huddersfield

Jose Mourinho refused to point the finger at Victor Lindelof after Manchester United’s 2-1 loss to Huddersfield Town in the Premier League on Saturday.
The summer signing’s mistake led to a goal in the first half after he was brought on as a substitute following an injury to Phil Jones.
Goals from Aaron Mooy and Laurent Depoitre handed the newly-promoted side a famous victory as they inflicted upon Manchester United their first defeat of the season.
It was an afternoon to forget for Lindelof, whose clear error led to the home side’s second goal.
However, Mourinho was in no mood to point the finger at Lindelof after Saturday’s result.
Speaking to BBC Sport after Saturday’s game, Mourinho said: “Mistakes, yes. But I think the mistakes can’t be isolated of the context.
“And the context of the first half was a context that opened the door for mistakes to come.
“So I would be very unfair if I point the finger of the players involved in the individual mistakes that lead to the goal.”
Lindelof signed for Manchester United from Benfica in the summer but still looks like it will take him some time to settle at Old Trafford.
Manchester United must now dust themselves down as they look to get back to winning ways in the Premier League with a home clash against Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford next Sunday.
The Red Devils’ loss to Huddersfield left Mourinho’s men five points behind Manchester City in the race for the Premier League title.
