Man United praised for ‘character’ ahead of Young Boys trip
Chris Sutton praises Man United for showing character in their 2-1 win over Watford
Chris Sutton has praised Manchester United for showing plenty of “character” in their last Premier League game at Watford.
The Red Devils managed to make it two wins in a row for the first time this season as they claimed a 2-1 victory at Vicarage Road on Saturday to string together some solid form in the Premier League.
Jose Mourinho had found himself under pressure at Old Trafford early on in the campaign after the Red Devils slumped to back to back defeats by Tottenham and Brighton earlier in the campaign.
However, they have since picked themselves up to win their last two Premier League games and get their campaign back on track.
Manchester United are now preparing for their Champions League trip to Young Boys on Wednesday night as they bid to try and make a solid start to the European season.
And Sutton feels that the Red Devils do deserve some praise for showing some character in their most recent performance in the Premier League.
Speaking to BBC Radio 5 live, Sutton said: “They have shown plenty of character in the last two games.
“They dug the win out at Watford. It wasn’t an easy game.”
Manchester United are aiming to try and be one of the main challengers for the Premier League title this season after they finished second and without a trophy last term.
