Manchester United will send scouts to assess Den Haag midfielder Sam van Huffel, according to a report in England.
The Sun is reporting that the 19-year-old starlet is attracting interest from the Premier League giants following his promotion to Den Haag’s first-team this term.
The same article states that Manchester United’s top-flight rivals Leicester City are also keeping tabs on Van Huffel ahead of the summer transfer window.
Championship outfit Aston Villa and Scottish Premier League outfit Hibernian are monitoring the Dutch defender with view to a permanent deal.
According to the same story, Van Huffel will run out for Den Haag’s Under-21 side on Thursday night under the watchful gaze of a number of scouts.
The Dutch starlet was part of De Haag’s match day squad for 2-0 win over VVV Venlo but didn’t feature in the Eredivisie clash.
Manchester United lost 2-1 to La Liga outfit Sevilla in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 clash on Tuesday night after a goalless draw in Spain last month.
The Red Devils are in second place in the Premier League table and four points ahead of third-placed Tottenham Hotspur in pursuit of a Champions League spot.
Manchester United won the Europa League and the League Cup last term.
