Henrikh Mkhitaryan praised Manchester United’s team spirit after the Red Devils claimed a thumping 4-0 victory over Swansea City in their second game of the season on Saturday.

Fresh from having beaten West Ham by the same scoreline last weekend, Manchester United were rampant once again as they kept their place at the top of the Premier League table.

Goals from Eric Bailly, Paul Pogba, Romelu Lukaku and Anthony Martial wrapped up the three points for Jose Mourinho’s men at the Liberty Stadium as they continued their brilliant start to the new campaign.

And Mkhitaryan pointed to Manchester United’s team spirit as the key factor in the Red Devils’ win in South Wales.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Mkhitaryan said: “It was a tough game, especially in the first half. We had passion, we did what we had to do. The second half became much easier because they played with more defenders and that left space.

“Team spirit. We also have a little luck with the chances we are creating.”

Manchester United are now top of the Premier League table as they look to win the title for the first time since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement back in 2013.

The Red Devils have now won both of their Premier League games 4-0 after their thrashing of West Ham United at Old Trafford last weekend.

Mourinho’s men will now turn their attentions towards preparing to welcome Leicester City to Old Trafford in the Premier League next Saturday afternoon.
