Harry Redknapp says Tottenham Hotspur are “miles better” than Manchester United.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side have endured a tough week following a three-game run without a victory.

Spurs were held to a 2-2 draw with Greek side Olympiacos in their opening Champions League group-stage fixture last week.

James Maddison’s late goal then sealed a 2-1 victory for Leicester over Spurs at the King Power Stadium last weekend.

Tottenham’s misery continued following a penalty shootout defeat by League Two side Colchester United in the Carabao Cup third round in mid-week.

Manchester United, meanwhile, are without a proven striker to lead the line after injuries to Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford decimated Solskjaer’s attack.

Former Spurs boss Redknapp believes Tottenham are still miles ahead of Manchester United despite their current dip in form.

“Manchester United are miles away from Tottenham, I think Tottenham are miles better than them,” Redknapp told BetVictor.

“Spurs haven’t got a big job, they just have to rebuild the confidence within the squad and get back to where they were.

“Manchester United can’t do that because they don’t have good enough players.”

Tottenham managed to reach the Champion League final last season thanks to victories over Borussia Dortmund, Manchester City and Ajax in the knockout stage.

Manchester United finished in sixth spot and without a trophy following a disappointing end to the campaign under Solskjaer.

The Red Devils spent more money on new signings than Tottenham in the summer.
