Ledley King sets challenge for Tottenham ahead of Man United clash
The Spurs legend is hoping Tottenham can lay down a marker against Manchester United in the title race

Ledley King believes Tottenham Hotspur have a real chance to lay down a marker in the Premier League title race at Old Trafford on Saturday.
The north London side make the long trip to Manchester United in search of fifth successive win to hoist themselves three points clear of their title rivals with 28 games to go.
Tottenham were brilliant 4-1 winners against top-four contenders Liverpool at Wembley last weekend thanks to goals from Harry Kane, Son Hueng-min and Dele Alli.
Spurs haven’t lost a top-flight game since a 2-1 loss to defending Premier League champions Chelsea at Wembley back in August.
Manchester United, on the other hand, suffered their first defeat in a 2-1 loss to promoted side Huddersfield Town at John Smith’s Stadium last weekend to raise questions about their title challenge.
The Red Devils have only managed to earn one point from their last two Premier League games to leave them five points behind current leaders Manchester City.
Former Tottenham defender King wants Spurs to lay down a marker in the title race with a rare win at Manchester United in the Premier League this weekend.
“Obviously there are still plenty of points to play for this season so it [the result at Old Trafford] is not going to make or break anything,” King told Sky Sports.
“But it is a great chance to put down a marker, to say that we are are going to be here in the run in right up to the end of the season. If we are able to go to Manchester and get a result I think everyone sits up, takes notice and knows that we’re in for the race to the end.”
Spurs lost 1-0 to Manchester United at Old Trafford in their Premier League meeting last term.
