Wilkins: Mourinho could sell 28-year-old Man United star to raise transfer funds
The Man United boss could cash in on Henrikh Mkhitaryan in January, according to Ray Wilkins

Ray Wilkins says Jose Mourinho could sell Henrikh Mkhitaryan to fund a big money Manchester United signing in January.
The Red Devils midfielder made a slow start to his Old Trafford career following a £30m move to Manchester United from Borussia Dortmund in the 2016 summer transfer window.
However, the attacking midfielder came into his own in the second half of the season to help the Red Devils to win the Europa League and the League Cup.
Indeed, the Armenian playmaker scored in Manchester United’s 2-0 win over Dutch giants Ajax in the Europa League final in Stockholm.
The 28-year-old finished the 2016-17 campaign with 14 goals and five assists in 31 games in all competitions.
The former Dortmund midfielder started the current season as a first-choice player but Mkhitaryan has struggled to influence games in recent months.
Indeed, Mkhitaryan made five assists in his first three Premier League games but hasn’t scored or created a goal in the English top flight since his strike in a 4-0 win over Everton at Old Trafford on 17 September.
Manchester United have been linked with moves to sign Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann and Juventus forward Paulo Dybala.
Former Chelsea and Man United midfielder Wilkins suggested that Mourinho could sell Mkhitaryan to fund a move for a big January signing.
“He looked really strong at the start of the season,” Wilkins to sportingbet.
“We were seeing Borussia Dortmund Mkhitaryan at the start but it’s all gone down the pan.
“The pressure at Old Trafford is to perform week in, week out and unfortunately the lad couldn’t do that.
“I believe Jose could sell Mkhitaryan in January to fund the transfer of another big name to United.”
