Man United close to completing deal for 21-year-old full-back – report
Crystal Palace are lining up Aaron Wan-Bissaka's replacement before sanctioning his move to Man United, according to a report
Manchester United are closing in on a deal to sign Crystal Palace full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka, according to a report in England.
The Daily Express is reporting that the Red Devils are ready to make a bid around the £50m mark after Crystal Palace rejected their initial offer of £40m.
The same article states that Palace are looking to sign a replacement for Wan-Bissaka before the Eagles sanction the England Under-21 international’s move to Old Trafford.
According to the same story, Palace want Atalanta’s Belgian defender Timothy Castagne to replace Wan-Bissaka ahead of the new Premier League season.
The report goes on to say that Palace would have to make an offer of £20m to sign the Belgium international from the Serie A side, which would leave them with £30m if Wan-Bissaka does secure a £50m switch to Old Trafford.
Manchester United have been linked with a number of full-backs in the summer transfer window as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to overhaul the Red Devils defence.
The 20-time English champions haven’t won the Premier League title since 2013 since Sir Alex Ferguson lifted the trophy for the final time in his managerial career.
David Moyes, Louis van Gaal and Jose Mourinho have all failed to restore Manchester United to their former glory.
