Manchester United have joined Arsenal and Liverpool FC in the race to sign Abdoulaye Doucoure from Watford this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that the Red Devils are now expressing an interest in the 25-year-old midfielder as the summer transfer window draws ever nearer.
According to the same story, Manchester United have now joined the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool FC in the race to sign the Frenchman.
Manchester United are likely to be on the lookout for midfield reinforcements this summer, with the Red Devils set to lose Michael Carrick when he retires at the end of the season.
There is also doubt about Marouane Fellaini’s future at the club, with the Belgian potentially on his way out of Old Trafford this summer.
The same report says that Doucoure’s athleticism, dynamism and technical ability has caught the eye of Manchester United scouts ahead of the summer transfer window.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are currently preparing for their crunch home clash against Liverpool FC at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.
The Red Devils are currently in second place in the table as they look to at least finish as runners-up to Manchester City this season.
