Manchester United are in talks to sign Adrien Rabiot on a free transfer this summer, according to reports in France.

French outlet TF1, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the Red Devils and Everton are currently holding talks with the midfielder about a potential move to the Premier League.

Rabiot is out of contract at Paris Saint-Germain at the end of this month and he looks set to leave the French club on a free transfer when his current deal expires.

According to the same story, FC Barcelona, Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus have all been linked with Rabiot, but the midfielder’s high wage demands are thought to have been a stumbling block in negotiations.

The article claims that Rabiot is now holding talks with both Manchester United and Everton as he looks to secure his next move – and it is claimed that he would be open to moving to a Premier League club.

Rabiot has not featured for PSG since December, and had scored two goals and made one assist in 14 Ligue 1 appearances in the first half of the campaign.

Manchester United are thought to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as they bid to strengthen their squad ahead of next season.
