Manchester United will have to spend £60m to sign Alex Sandro from Juventus, Duncan Castles has claimed.
The Red Devils are in the market to sign a left-back ahead of the new Premier League season.
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has been reluctant to use inconsistent England international Luke Shaw.
Italian full-back Matteo Darmian is being widely tipped to leave, while Daley Blind sealed a return to Ajax.
Manchester United have been regularly linked with a swoop to sign Sandro from Juventus over the past few seasons.
The Red Devils have also been touted as suitors for Celtic and Scotland defender Kieran Tierney.
Sunday Times reporter Castles believes Manchester United will need to cough up £60m to sign the Brazilian defender.
“They know Man United have a problem getting Sandro,” Castles told the Transfer Window podcast.
“Juve are pricing Sandro at 60m euros.
“Juve have been watching Tierney and considering him as a replacement should Sandro go.”
Manchester United finished in second place in the Premier League table last season to finish above Spurs and Liverpool FC.
The Red Devils lost 1-0 to Chelsea FC in the FA Cup final at Wembley last season.
