Manchester United are ready to offer Ander Herrera a new contract worth £175,000 a week, say reports

Manchester United are ready to offer Ander Herrera a new contract worth £175,000 a week, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Star is reporting that the Red Devils have opened talks with Herrera about extending his current deal at Old Trafford, which is believed to be worth around £100,000 a week.
The same story suggests that Manchester United are now keen to resolve Herrera’s future and tie him down to a new long-term contract.
The 27-year-old joined Manchester United from Athletic Bilbao back in 2014 and signed a four-year deal with the Red Devils.
The Spanish midfielder was one of Manchester United’s top performers last season as he helped the Red Devils win the EFL Cup and Europa League in Jose Mourinho’s first season in charge at the club.
The same report states that Herrera’s good performances have attracted interest from the likes of Atletico Madrid and Barcelona and that the Red Devils are keen to keep hold of the midfielder.
Manchester United are preparing for a return to the Champions League next season after their Europa League triumph last term.
