Man United, Tottenham could sign Real Madrid superstar next summer – report
Manchester United and Tottenham are the front-runners to sign Gareth Bale from Real Madrid next summer, say reports
Manchester United and Tottenham have been handed boosts in their pursuit of Gareth Bale after the attacker agreed terms with Real Madrid to leave the club next summer, according to reports in Spain.
Spanish outlet Diario Gol, as quoted by the Daily Mail, is claiming that the Wales star has reached an agreement to leave the La Liga club at the end of this season.
The same report claims that Bale is high up on Jose Mourinho’s transfer wish-list at Old Trafford and that the latest turn of events could heighten the Red Devils’ chances of signing the former Spurs star.
The story also suggests that Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur would be the front-runners to secure the signature of the 28-year-old should he move back to the Premier League.
It has been another season blighted by injury for Bale at The Bernabeu and the Wales attacker has struggled to keep fit for long spells since his move to the club from Tottenham back in the summer of 2013.
The same story says that should Real Madrid opt to sell Bale, the Spanish club would hope to recoup most, if not all, of the £85m spent on signing him from Spurs back in 2013.
Manchester United are bound to be linked with a host of players in the coming weeks as the January transfer window draws ever nearer.
