According to the same story, Red Devils legend Ferdinand, who mentors Godfrey in his New Era agency, is a big fan of the defender and has been in contact with Manchester United to offer his personal recommendation.
The defender has been a regular fixture in the Norwich City team this season, scoring four goals and making two assists in 31 Championship games for the Canaries.
The same story says that Ferdinand also remains on the club’s shortlist to become Manchester United’s new director of football at Old Trafford.
According to the same article, Godfrey himself is settled and Norwich and is not pushing for a transfer, but it also claims that the chance to move to Manchester United would be tough to turn down.
