Manchester United are interested in a deal to sign AS Monaco starlet Benoit Badiashile, according to a report in France.
French media outlet L’Equipe, as quoted by the Daily Express, is reporting that Manchester United are keeping tabs on the 18-year-old centre-half.
The same article states that the Red Devils have been scouting the France Under-19 international over the past couple of years.
According to the same story, AS Monaco are looking to secure a £30m transfer fee for the French prospect if the Ligue 1 side do decide to sell this summer.
The report goes on to add that Manchester United are facing competition from Premier League rivals Wolves as well as La Liga outfit Valencia.
Manchester United have only signed two players in the summer transfer window so far as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to revamp his squad.
The Red Devils are snapped up Swansea City midfielder Daniel James in a £15m deal to bolster their options in the middle of the park.
Manchester United have also brought in Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka in a £50m earlier this month to bolster their defence.
The 20-time English champions finished in sixth place in the Premier League table last term to miss out on a Champions League spot.
