Manchester United are pondering a January move to sign Carlos Soler from Valencia, according to reports
Manchester United are keen to make a move to sign Valencia starlet Carlos Soler in the January transfer window, according to reports in Spain.
Spanish outlet Don Balon, as quoted by the Daily Star, is reporting that the Red Devils are keen to bring the 20-year-old midfielder to Old Trafford as Jose Mourinho looks to bolster his squad in the mid-season window.
The same report says that Manchester United are considering the futures of both Juan Mata and Henrikh Mkhitaryan at Old Trafford and Soler could be an ideal replacement.
The story also says that Mourinho feels that Soler has all of the necessary credentials to succeed in the Premier League as a box-to-box midfielder.
It remains to be seen whether Manchester United will indeed make a move to try and sign Solder in the transfer window.
One thing is for sure, the Red Devils are bound to be linked with a host of players in the coming weeks as the January transfer window gets into full swing.
The Red Devils were held to a disappointing goalless draw by Southampton at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon to leave them in third place in the Premier League table.
