Sky Sports reporter confirms Man United’s remaining transfer plans
Dharmesh Sheth says Man United are keen to sign a new central defender this summer

Manchester United are determined to sign a new central defender before the transfer window closes on Thursday next week, according to Dharmesh Sheth.
The Red Devils are believed to be on the lookout for further reinforcements this summer as they look to try and build a squad capable of winning the Premier League title next season.
Manchester United endured something of a disappointing campaign last term as they ended up in second place in the Premier League table and without a trophy in Jose Mourinho’s second campaign in charge.
The clock is now ticking down on the summer transfer window, with Manchester United set to kick off the new Premier League season when they host Leicester City next Friday.
Now, Sky Sports News reporter Sheth has confirmed that the Red Devils are on the lookout for a new defender this summer as they look to bolster their squad ahead of next season.
Speaking on the Sky Sports Transfer Talk podcast, Sheth said: “It looks like it [their top priority] is a centre-half. All the noises suggest that is the position he is focusing on.”
Manchester United have been linked with a whole host of players so far this summer but have only made three new recruits, bringing in Diogo Dalot, Fred and Lee Grant.
Mourinho is aiming to steer the Red Devils to the Premier League title for the first time since 2013.
