Man United favourites to sign 27-year-old from title rivals despite Chelsea interest – report
Manchester United are leading the race to sign Danny Rose despite interest from Chelsea, according to reports in Italy

Manchester United are interested in signing Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose in the January transfer window, according to reports in Italy.
Italian website TuttoMercatoWeb, as quoted by talkSPORT, is reporting that the Red Devils are still interested in the England international despite failing to sign the full-back in the summer.
The same article confirms that Rose has been a long-term target for Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho and the Red Devils will launch a fresh bid in the next transfer window.
According to the same story, defending Premier League champions Chelsea are also keeping tabs on Rose but Manchester United are leading the title holders in the race for the defender’s signature.
Rose is currently sidelined with a knee problem that has kept the England international out of action since January.
Tottenham sold Kyle Walker to Manchester United’s title rivals Manchester City in the summer transfer window in a £55m deal to make the right-back the most expensive defender in the world.
Spurs would presumably be reluctant to lose another top-class full-back despite Wales international Ben Davies providing cover for Rose.
Manchester United boss Mourinho has regularly criticised Luke Shaw since taking over the reins at Old Trafford despite the 21-year-old’s big reputation.
