Man United confident 27-year-old will sign five-year deal – report
David De Gea is on the brink of signing a new five-year deal with Manchester United, according to a report

Manchester United are confident that David De Gea will commit his long-term future to Old Trafford, according to a report in England.
The Independent is reporting that the Red Devils are hoping to tie down the Spain international to a new five-year contract at Manchester United.
The same article states that De Gea has 12 months left on his current deal, although the Red Devils have an option to add an addition year to his contract.
Real Madrid have been linked with a renewed bid to sign the Manchester United number one this summer after the appointment of Julen Lopetegui earlier this week.
According to the same story, los Blancos are aware of De Gea’s intention to sign a new deal with Manchester United and Real Madrid have already switched their focus to Chelsea FC goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois and AS Roma sot shot stopper Alisson Becker.
De Gea was on the brink of a move to Manchester United in the 2015 summer transfer window but a deal fell through at the final hour over an administrative problem.
The Spanish goalkeeper signed a new four-year deal in September 2015 to commit to the Old Trafford until 2019 to deter Real Madrid’s interest.
