Manchester United are lining up a double January swoop to sign Moussa Dembele and Sean Longstaff, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Star is reporting that the Red Devils are keen on a move to sign both the Lyon striker and Newcastle United midfielder as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer thinks about bolstering his squad in the new year.

Manchester United have made a mixed start to the new Premier League season and they currently find themselves down in 10th place after having only won two of their opening seven top-flight games.

According to the same story, Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has reassured Solskjaer that he will have significant funds to spend in January.

The same article claims that a double move for both Dembele, 23, and Longstaff, 21, would cost in the region of £90m.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are currently preparing for their Europa League clash against AZ Almkaar away from home on Thursday night.

The Red Devils are hoping to return to winning ways after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Arsenal at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Monday night.

Manchester United’s next Premier League game is a trip to Newcastle United on Sunday afternoon.
