Man United are weighing up a big money move to sign Douglas Costa from Bayern Munich, according to reports

Manchester United are pondering making a £40m move to sign Douglas Costa from Bayern Munich this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mirror is claiming that the Red Devils are keeping tabs on the Brazilian attacker, who is currently on a season-long loan to Juventus from Bayern Munich.
The same story says that former Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson weighed up a move for Costa during his spells at boyhood club Gremio and later Shakhtar Donetsk – but a move to Old Trafford did not materialise.
The 27-year-old has been impressing during his temporary spell with Juventus and has scored two goals and made six assists in 22 Serie A games for the Italian side so far this season.
The same article says that Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has told the club’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward to assess the viability of a move for the forward this summer.
Manchester United are likely to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as Mourinho looks for his side to mount a genuine title challenge in his second campaign in charge.
The Red Devils are currently in second place in the table and are set to take on Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup semi-finals at Wembley next month.
