Mourinho tells Woodward to make £60m Man United bid for 23-year-old – report
Jose Mourinho wants Manchester United to make a £60m move to sign Eric Dier from Tottenha, say reports

Jose Mourinho has instructed Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward to make a £60m bid to try and sign midfielder Eric Dier from Tottenham, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that Mourinho is desperate to land the 23-year-old midfielder as he looks to further strengthen his Red Devils squad ahead of next season.
The same story says Mourinho is keen to add another holding midfielder to his squad despite Michael Carrick having signed a new contract until 2018.
The article also states that Manchester United were hoping that a bid of around £40m would be enough to convince Tottenham to sell Dier.
However, Spurs’ refusal to do business at that price has prompted the Red Devils to consider a bid in the region of £60m for the England international.
The story suggests that Tottenham will be extremely reluctant to sell Dier this summer but could end up being tempted by a huge bid.
Manchester United confirmed their second signing of the summer on Monday when they finally announced a deal to bring Romelu Lukaku to the club from Everton.
