Manchester United have been offered the chance to sign Faouzi Ghoulam from Napoli this summer, according to reports in the French media.
France Football, as quoted by the Daily Express, is reporting that super-agent Jorge Mendes has offered the Red Devils the chance to land Ghoulam from the Serie A side this summer.
The same report says that Mendes is trying to secure the 27-year-old Algerian a move to Manchester United this summer as Jose Mourinho looks to bolster his squad at Old Trafford.
The left-sided defender has been in impressive form for the Italian side so far this season and has scored two goals and made three assists in 11 Serie A games.
According to the same story, the defender’s release clause is currently set at €35m (£30m) and Mourinho is “likely” to be on the lookout for a player at left back this summer.
The article also claims that Manchester City and Liverpool have both been linked with Ghoulam in recent transfer windows.
Meanwhile, Manchester United will return to Premier League action after the international break when they take on Swansea City at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.
The Red Devils are currently in second place in the Premier League table.
