Man United are ready to pull out of the race to sign Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk, according to reports

Manchester United are ready to pull the plug on a £53m deal to sign Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk, according to reports in the British media.
Metro is reporting that the Red Devils have been heavily linked with a move to sign the Brazilian in recent days but could now pull out of the deal.
The same report says that Manchester City have also been keeping tabs on the 25-year-old in recent days as he continues to be linked with a move away from the Ukrainian club.
According to the same story, the player himself is now “dragging his heels” over a possible move to Old Trafford and that Paris Saint-Germain could be set to make a late move to try and sign him.
Fred has been in decent form this season, scoring two goals and making one assist in all competitions for Shakhtar Donetsk.
Manchester United are set to be linked with a host of players this summer as they look to bring in some significant reinforcement ahead of next season.
Jose Mourinho will be keen to bolster his squad as he looks to assemble a team capable of challenging Manchester City’s dominance at the top of the Premier League next season.
