Man United are hoping to complete the signing of Fred before the start of the World Cup, say reports

Manchester United are set to complete the signing of Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk in a £44m deal, according to reports in the British media.
The Sun is reporting that the Red Devils are close to concluding a deal to bring the Brazilian to Old Trafford as their first summer signing.
The same report says that Manchester United are gearing up to pay around £44m to bring Fred to Old Trafford as they look to bolster their squad ahead of next season.
The story claims that Manchester United chiefs are hoping to have the deal to sign the 25-year-old from Shakhtar Donetsk completed before the start of the World Cup in Russia next month.
It is claimed in the same article that Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is “desperate” to get the Red Devils’ transfer business done early this summer.
Manchester United are believed to be on the lookout for a number of key signings this summer as the Red Devils look to assemble a team capable of winning the Premier League next season.
The Red Devils finished in second place in the Premier League last term but ended the campaign without a trophy after losing the FA Cup final to Chelsea FC at Wembley.
