Manchester United are keeping tabs on Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale, according to a report in England
Manchester United are continuing to monitor Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale in the 2018 summer transfer window, according to a report in England.
The Evening Standard is reporting that the Wales international Bale could leave los Blancos at the end of the 2017-18 season after his Champions League heroics.
The 28-year-old scored twice after coming off the bench to help Real Madrid to ease to a 3-1 win against Liverpool FC in the Champions League final in Kiev.
The same article states that Bale is a long-term target for the Red Devils under Portuguese head coach Jose Mourinho but a deal has failed to materialise so far.
However, Bale appeared to hint that he was ready to leave The Bernabeu in the current transfer window to open the door to a renewed effort from Manchester United.
According to the same story, the Red Devils will closely monitor Bale’s situation at Real Madrid ahead of the 2018-19 Premier League campaign.
Manchester United finished in second place in the Premier League table last season but have a 19 point gap to make up on champions Manchester City.
The Red Devils lost 1-0 to Chelsea FC in the FA Cup final at Wembley after Eden Hazard scored a winner from the penalty spot.
