Journalist claims Man United still want to sign 29-year-old attacker
Sky Sports News reporter Dharmesh Sheth believes Gareth Bale is still a target for Manchester United

Manchester United remain keen to sign Gareth Bale but haven’t held negotiations with Real Madrid, Dharmesh Sheth has claimed.
The Red Devils have been linked with a move to sign the Wales international over the past few summer transfer windows.
Bale, 29, hinted that his future might lie away from Real Madrid after the Champions League final back in May.
The Welsh forward came off the bench to score twice in a 3-1 win over Liverpool FC in the European Cup showpiece in Kiev.
Bale has been handed a lifeline at Real Madrid after Zinedine Zidane stepped down as manager at the end of the season.
New Real Madrid boss Julen Lopetegui has taken over the reins from the los Blancos legend.
Sky Sports News reporter Sheth provided an update on Manchester United’s pursuit of the Welsh forward in the current transfer window.
“We understand that Bale’s representatives will fly to Spain in the next fortnight for talks with Florentino Perez,” Sheth told the Transfer Talk podcast.
“Man United are keen to bring Bale back to the Premier League. For now, no official negotiations have taken place.”
Bale moved to Real Madrid from Tottenham in an £85m deal in the 2013 summer transfer window after he won the PFA player of the year award.
The former Spurs star has won four Champions League titles, the Copa del Rey and La Liga title during his spell in the Spanish capital.
