Manchester United are keen on a loan deal to sign Gareth Bale from Real Madrid this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that the Red Devils are out to land the 29-year-old Wales winger in a temporary deal as they bid to bolster their attacking options in the summer transfer window.
According to the same story, Real Madrid are “desperately” trying to ditch Bale after the Spanish giants agreed a deal with Chelsea FC to sign Eden Hazard last week.
It is claimed in the same article that Manchester United are willing to take Bale on an initial 12-month loan deal with the option to extend it for a further year.
Manchester United are also reportedly willing to pay a loan fee to help take Bale of Real Madrid’s books this summer.
The same story says that Zinedine Zidane is attempting to secure an exit for Bale this summer as he looks to rebuild his team ahead of next season.
Manchester United are said to be big admirers of Bale but they are not prepared to spend big on signing him on a permanent contract.
The Red Devils finished in sixth place and without a trophy last season.
