Manchester United are pushing for a deal to sign Real Betis midfielder Giovani Lo Celso, according to reports in the British media.

iNews is reporting that the Red Devils are keen to sign Lo Celso along with Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur this summer as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to bolster his squad at Old Trafford.

The same story says that Lo Celso’s current club Real Betis are prepared to listen to offers of more than £67m for the 23-year-old.

It is claimed in the same report that Betis are already “resigned” to losing Lo Celso this summer.

The article also quotes the Spanish source Estadio Deportivo as saying that Manchester United are now the favourites to sign the midfielder this summer.

Despite that, the same story also says that Tottenham Hotspur have already had a concrete bid for Lo Celso rejected by Real Betis this summer.

Manchester United are thought to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as they look to bounce back from a disappointing trophyless campaign.

The Red Devils signed midfielder Daniel James from Swansea City last week as they brought in their first recruit of the summer.
