Manchester United and Real Madrid could be set to challenge Tottenham Hotspur for the signature of Real Betis midfielder Giovani Lo Celso, according to reports in the Spanish media.
Spanish outlet Marca, as quoted by The Daily Mail is reporting that the Red Devils and Spanish giants could be set to make a move for the 23-year-old in the coming weeks as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of next season.
According to the same story, Lo Celso is attracting interest from a number of top clubs this summer, and Tottenham have reportedly started the bidding with an opening offer of £52.8m.
That means that Spurs and Manchester United could potentially go head to head in the race to land the Argentine attacking midfielder this summer.
The 23-year-old has been in solid form for Real Betis this season, scoring 16 goals and making five assists in all competitions for the La Liga side.
Manchester United are bound to be linked with a host of players in the coming weeks and months as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of next season.
The Red Devils finished in sixth place in the Premier League table under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to leave them in the Europa League for next term.
