Ole Gunnar Solskjaer told Man United should sign 26-year-old to improve defence
Teddy Sheringham believes Harry Maguire would be a great addition to the Manchester United team

Teddy Sheringham believes that Leicester City star Harry Maguire is the right candidate to improve the Manchester United defence this summer.
The England international has been regularly linked with a move to Manchester United since his performances at the World Cup last summer.
Maguire impressed throughout the 2018-19 season for the Foxes as Leicester managed to finish in ninth place in the Premier League table.
Manchester United conceded 54 times in the Premier League last season, while Brendan Rodgers’ men only let in 48 goals.
Unsurprisingly, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has already been linked with a host of potential defensive signings ahead of the summer transfer window.
Former Manchester United striker Sheringham believes Maguire would be a great addition to the Red Devils team.
“I think Harry Maguire is the one for me. He’s got great leadership qualities, and has a real calming influence. He’s very similar to Rio Ferdinand, in that he’s cool on the ball and defends very well. That would be a fine start from my point of view,” Sheringham told BetStars.
Maguire scored three times in 31 games in the Premier League last season to help Leicester finish in the top half of the Premier League table.
The England star has netted five times in 73 games in all competitions since the Foxes signed Maguire from Hull City in the 2017 summer transfer window.
The Leicester defender has become a regular in the England set-up under Gareth Southgate and Sheffield-born centre-half has already amassed 18 caps for the Three Lions.
Manchester United finished in sixth place in the Premier League table last term as their poor defensive record proved their undoing.
