Journalist explains why Jose Mourinho wants Man United to sign Ivan Perisic
Italian journalist explains why Jose Mourinho wants to bring Ivan Perisic to Manchester United this summer

Ivan Perisic would fit Jose Mourinho’s style of play at Manchester United, according to Serie A expert Paolo Baldini.
The Croatia international has been a long-term target of Mourinho since the Portuguese head coach took over the reins from Louis van Gaal back in May 2016.
Manchester United were linked with a bid to sign Perisic last summer but the Red Devils were unable to get a deal over the line for the Croatia international.
Perisic was one of Croatia’s stars at the World Cup after the 29-year-old winger fired his national team to the final.
The Inter winger scored Croatia’s equaliser in a 2-1 extra-time win over Gareth Southgate’s England side to book their place in the World Cup showpiece.
Perisic got on the score sheet in the World Cup final as Croatia suffered a 4-2 loss to France.
Manchester United have been linked with a fresh bid to sign Perisic on the back of his performances at this summer’s major tournament.
Serie A expert Baldini believes Manchester United boss Mourinho views the Croatian star as the perfect addition to the wing.
“I could see him fitting in at Man United,” Baldini told ESPN FC.
“I could see why Mourinho wants him. He is a physical winner but good with his feet. He won’t be an easy player to pry away from Man United.”
Manchester United finished in second place in the Premier League table last term behind champions Manchester City.
