Reporter gives latest Man United transfer update on Jadon Sancho
Rapahel Honigstein believes that Manchester United may have to wait until next year to sign Jadon Sancho

Rapahel Honigstein believes that Manchester United may have to wait until 2020 to sign Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho.
The Red Devils were linked with a potential swoop to sign the promising 19-year-old in the summer transfer window as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to revitalise and revamp the Manchester United team.
However, Borussia Dortmund have made it clear that they have no intention of selling Sancho in the current transfer window following his impressive performances in the 2018-19 season.
Sancho has established himself as a key player for the Bundesliga side and the England international scored 12 goals and made 14 assists in 34 games in the German top flight.
Manchester City sold Sancho to Dortmund in an £8m deal in the 2017 summer transfer window and the London-born star made an immediate impact at the German club.
Bundesliga expert Honigstein doesn’t envisage Dortmund cashing in on Sancho this summer but the BT Sport expert believes the German side could allow the Englishman to leave next summer.
“Dortmund usually do what they say – they say they’re not selling unless there is an outrageous offer that is so good like happened with Dembele,” Honigstein told Sky Sports’ Transfer Talk podcast.
“I don’t think Sancho is that type of player. He’s been leading a role-model life.
“Man United were tempted and might be tempted [again] if they lose one of the players [Paul Pogba or Romelu Lukaku].
“I think Dortmund and Sancho believe that staying for one more year is the best option for everyone. He will go into the Euros as a starter in a team that really works and nearly won the Bundesliga. He will grow at Dortmund. He will be in safe and calm environment.
“Why not take all that into the Euros and then if you have a good Euros in front of your home crowd in the semi-final and final make a big move?
“I wouldn’t be surprised if there is an informal agreement between Dortmund and Sancho’s people that is the best outcome for everyone concerned.”
Sancho has netted 14 times in 50 games in all competitions for Dortmund since his move to the German side from the Premier League champions.
Gareth Southgate handed Sancho his England debut in a 0-0 draw with Croatia last October before he made his first start in a 5-0 victory over Czech Republic in Euro 2020 qualifying.
