Man United reach agreement with 24-year-old striker but need to convince club to sell – report
Manchester United need to convince Real Madrid to sell Alvaro Morata to the Europa League winners, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano

Manchester United have agreed terms with Alvaro Morata but need to convince Real Madrid to sell their striker, according to reports in Italy.
Serie A reporter Fabrizio Romano has taken to Twitter to shed light on the complexities of the current situation surrounding Morata’s proposed move to Old Trafford.
Romano claims that Manchester United have reached an agreement with the Spain international to become their second signing of the summer transfer window.
However, the Red Devils haven’t settled on a transfer fee with Champions League winners Real Madrid despite finalising terms with Morata.
Indeed, The Guardian journalist suggests that Manchester United have work to do to convince Madrid president Florentino Perez to sell the centre-forward this summer.
Romano wrote on his Twitter page: “Man United are still in talks with Real Madrid for Morata. And trying to convince F. Perez to sell him. Agreement reached with Álvaro. 🇪🇸 #MUFC”
Morata scored 15 times in 26 appearances in La Liga last season but struggled to tie down a regular starting spot at The Bernabeu under manager Zinedine Zidane.
The 24-year-old moved back to Real Madrid from Serie A champions Juventus last summer but failed to break into Zidane’s first-team at Real Madrid.
